Cookies and browser storage
The site saves your manual language choice in a NEXT_LOCALE cookie for one year and uses no advertising, analytics or third-party trackers. Fonts are served by the site itself. Effects settings and conversation history are also kept in your browser.
What is stored in your browser
- Site language (NEXT_LOCALE) cookie; SameSite=Lax; Path=/
- Remembers your manual RU/EN choice. Sent to the server and takes precedence over browser language at the home address without a locale prefix.
- Kept: One year after choosing a language.
- Visual effects level localStorage
- Remembers the animation mode you chose (full, light or still).
- Kept: Until you clear the site's data in your browser.
- Conversation history sessionStorage
- Keeps the questions and answers of the current conversation (up to the last 100) so it survives a page reload. Inquiry data is never stored here.
- Kept: Until the tab is closed.
History and effects settings stay on your device. The language cookie is sent to the site server; it is not used for tracking.
Admin panel
Signing in to the site's admin panel sets a session cookie (payload-token). It is used only by the owner to sign in and is never set for visitors.
How to control it
You can delete this data in your browser settings (site data for vetrov.dev) or block storage altogether — the site keeps working but will not remember your language choice, the effects setting or the conversation. See the privacy policy for how personal data is processed.
